LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Chick-fil-A Leadership Development Program is a 2-3 year program that is a job opportunity and a development program that will help you grow both personally and professionally.  As a participant, you will work as a Senior Level Leader at one of our Chick-fil-A restaurants in Suwanee and/or Duluth Georgia under the guidance of Brad Williams, Owner/Operator.  Brad is a multi-unit Operator who has a proven history of developing over 16 leaders who have become Chick-fil-A Owner/Operators or full time employees at the Chick-fil-A Home Office.  

The LDP Ideal Candidate

  1. Four year college degree
  2. Two years of leadership experience in work or school
  3. Ability and willingness to commit to a 2-3 year employment and development opportunity
  4. Desire for intentional leadership development to establish themselves as a business leader
  5. Servant heart

THE LDP SELECTION PROCESS 

  1. Written expression of interest
  2. Phone or video interview
  3. Three references (one from family, two from work or school)
  4. Complete DISC and StrengthsFinder assessments prior to in-person interview
  5. In-person interview close to applicant's home if feasible 
  6. Final interview at restaurant

LDP DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The Pipeline offers an intentional and holistic personal development opportunity to those who are accepted into the program. The different facets of this program include:

  • Complete 6 leadership books as a team and use the principles learned for growing our people and our business
  • Harvard ManageMentor resources for personal, professional and business growth
  • Yearly off-site planning retreat
  • Coaching sessions with your Chick-fil-A Operator, Brad Williams
  • Community involvement 
  • Attend 1-2 conferences lead by Chick-fil-A or another leadership organization
  • Mentor emerging leaders
  • Develop personal growth plan
  • Attend and participate in Chick-fil-A Home Office opportunities for training and growth  
  • Join a Toastmasters group for 3 months

 

LDP WORK EXPERIENCE

The work experience portion of this program places each leader into a Director’s role in the Chick-fil-A restaurant, where they perform daily operating tasks, managerial functions and impact others through leadership influence. During each rotation you will be receiving coaching, business “scorecard” metrics, problem solving, experience developing and mentoring emerging leaders.  Participants will have the opportunity to experience every area of the business which includes:

  • Back of the House | Quality/Kitchen
  • Front of the House | Hospitality/Customer Service
  • Drive Thru
  • Marketing | Sales Growth
  • Human Resources and Recruiting 
  • Business Analysis, Budgeting, and Strategy
  • Training and Development
  • Development of Emerging Leaders
